How Outpatient and Aftercare Works
This program is an important aspect of the Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) process and increases the probability of long-term success in recovery through a healthy continuance of counseling and treatment in a less intensive format.
This level of care is designed specifically for patients that have completed the entire continuum of care from Partial Hospitalization to Intensive Outpatient with the purpose of maintaining their sobriety in the long-run.
Outpatient and Aftercare is a program intended to support patients in their transition back into everyday life. Previous levels of care are much more intensive and the experience is very different from the un-supported reality of independent daily life and its temptations. This final stage of treatment supports patients’ in their new sober life by continuing a minimal amount of weekly treatment services to support them and help them deal with the trials they will face each day as they begin their healthy and substance-free lifestyle.
