Outpatient & Aftercare
Recovery is about growth. Like anything that grows, it must be nurtured and supported to thrive and bear fruit.
Your recovery journey usually begins with with medical stabilization if needed, followed by treatment at the PHP and IOP levels of care. The question is, what can be done to ensure newfound recovery principles remain intact while growth continues? We believe that outpatient and aftercare treatment is the next step in the process.
Outpatient and aftercare amplify what you’ve already learned. The aim with the outpatient level of care is to give the patient the chance to put new recovery to the test in the framework of everyday life while continuing to support them. Research shows this is the most effective way to integrate new behaviors and habits into life outside of a treatment center.
By putting new skills into play inside the family dynamic, at work or at school, we can identify any weaknesses. The patient can bring real world situations into the therapeutic environment to learn from them and correct missteps. This proves an invaluable tool for reinforcing recovery principles that simply can’t be recreated inside a treatment center. This makes outpatient and aftercare the ideal conclusion to treatment.
